Update: HB 4063 Signed Into Law

It's official. The wild west ends in two months.

Texas House Bill 4063 is now officially law. Governor Abbott signed the bill on June 20th, making September 1st the official effective date for the new memoranda of contract framework.

Starting in about two months, MOCs on residential property will operate under completely different rules with automatic invalidation for non-compliant filings and a structured 45-day challenge process for compliant ones.

This regulatory shift will reward investors who understand the new framework while creating real challenges for those who don't.
